Sleeping in and then casually whipping up some scrumptious breakfast to be enjoyed on the front porch around 10 a.m. A yogurt parfait with fresh blueberries and maple granola would fit the bill nicely...yum!
I know, I know, cliche to say "mom" on a mom site but true it is! She's just so grounded and she really 'get's' me. I owe a lot to her sweet parenting skills and she is still teaching me today with my own kids.
From my daughter after trying to get my attention 3 times, "mom, FOCUS!" :) So simple, but so difficult to do as a woman/mother when trying to keep all those plates spinning in the air without having any crash down!
Over the dinner table my husband was scolding my 4 year old about finishing her dinner. He said, "finish your dinner, NOW!" to which she replied very dramatically, "dad, me and my mom do NOT like your attitude right now!" We gave it our best not to bust out laughing and encourage her behavior but it was useless, it was just too funny.
Too not over schedule my "to-do's" with those endless lists we moms like to make. Pick 3 key things I want to accomplish per day and only hold myself accountable for those 3 things. Suddenly, "ta-da" happens a little more frequently :)
Hearing my children's laughter and watching my husband play with our girls.
