My idea of a perfect Sunday morning is...

Getting up early, lingering over coffee and the newspaper until the girls get up, watching Food Network, and then going to Whole Foods to shop for a recipe we all want to try from The Barefoot Contessa!

Which living person do you most admire and why?

My dad, hand's down! He's hard-working, big-hearted and has never met a stranger. He's taught me to live my life with appreciation, grace and optimism. Truly, he's one-of-a-kind and, undoubtedly, my role model.

The best advice I've ever gotten from a kid is...

"Chill out, Mom."

The funniest thing my kids did this week was...

My youngest decided that our golden retreiver, Molly, needed a bath. So, she put on her swim suit and coaxed Molly into the shower with her for a shampoo. The photos are priceless!

My biggest secret for getting from to-do to ta-da is...

This is Texas y'all ... So, a great red lipstick, some volumizer and hairspray are "musts" for getting from dowdy to howdy!

What always puts a smile on your face?

Watching those rare moments when my two daughters actually get along and enjoy each other's company ("in small doses" says the soon-to-be 18-year-old).
