My idea of a perfect Sunday morning is...

Sleeping in, grabbing a bagel and juice, and then going with my husband, daughter, and our two dogs to Dog Beach in Huntington.

Which living person do you most admire and why?

This is a tough one - I am lucky to have many amazing people in my life. I think in terms of the person who has been my biggest role model, I would pick my mom. She is the epitome of selfless, loving, nurturing, and determined. She sacrificed a lot and never complained about it, and she has shown me the importance of valuing education, family, and balance.

The best advice I've ever gotten from a kid is..

From my years teaching elementary school, I have many gems. A favorite: "Mrs. Hinkey, it looks better when you wear that shiny stuff on your lips."

The funniest thing my kids did this week was...

My daughter is 14 months old, so my days are filled with comedy. She has recently learned to give kisses. She learned this from her buddy, my dog, so her kisses involve a slobbery lick. Sloppy as they are, I can't get enough of them.

My biggest secret for getting from to-do to ta-da is...

Break down a big task into smaller, more manageable parts. I feel more accomplished when I can check things off a list.

What always puts a smile on your face?

My family, especially my munchkin. Spending time with friends. Traveling. Good food. Chocolate. Baseball. Music. Spa days. Game night. Getting a good deal. There is lots to smile about.
