A little yoga, and then brunch at a beach restaurant with family and friends.
My Mother! She rooted me to feel secure, yet allowed me freedom to find my own way. As a mom now, I now realize how much courage that takes.
When my daughter was five, she told me her purpose in life was to sing. I asked her about mine and she said "to help people, of course." Turns out helping people has been a major theme in all of my careers.
When my daughter was 2, I stepped into the garage and she locked the door behind me. She had a Mommy-free party jumping on the couches, pausing just long enough to come to the sliding glass door and smile at me.
Send the family out and turn up some music. After the laundry and dishes are done, I look for Plum Deals on housekeeping services and a nearby restaurant.
Watching my baby sleep (she's 10 but looks like a cherub when asleep), hugging my hubby goodnight, and watching Modern Family - gotta love it!
