My idea of a perfect Sunday morning is...

getting up around 8am and going to Starbuck's with my hubby for some coffee and conversation! We lead very busy lives and having this special time is important to us! Then we head back home in time to get ready for Sunday service. That's a great 1-2 punch to start the day!

Which living person do you most admire and why?

I admire my father more than anyone else in this world. He has always been such an amazing dad and we've had a very close relationship. Now, at the age of 87, he cares for my mom who has been stricken with Alzheimer's. As sad as this is, it has brought us closer and I love him so much!

The best advice I've ever gotten from a kid is..

don't sweat the small stuff! As a schoolteacher for many years, I've had plenty of opportunities to engage in conversation with youngsters. They are incredible creatures and are often wise beyond their years!

The funniest thing my kids did this week was...

trying out his new snowboard - in his bedroom! It was a long awaited Christmas present that he had been waiting patiently for and snow or not, he was going to try it out!

My biggest secret for getting from to-do to ta-da is...

keeping my calendar up to date. It is really important to me to have things on my agenda and be able to refer to it several times a day. There's nothing worse than forgetting to do something or having your days mixed up!

What always puts a smile on your face?

My family always puts a smile on my face. The children I had the pleasure of teaching also made me grin. Being around people and connecting with them on some level is what makes me happy!
