My idea of a perfect Sunday morning is...

sneaking out of the house to go for a run before any of my children awake. Then, the tricky part is having all five of us showered, dressed, fed and out the door for church on time!

Which living person do you most admire and why?

My sister, Hollis. She is my younger sister but I have always looked up to her. She is an attorney in the United States Navy, currently serving on an aircraft carrier. Hollis is brave, witty, brillant, articulate and adventurous... not to mention a supportive and hilarious sister.

The best advice I've ever gotten from a kid is..

to stay one step ahead of the game. Not in so many words did my son offer this advice to me recently. His exact words were "it would be more better if my chocolate milk was already ready."

The funniest thing my kids did this week was...

playing with the hula hoops in our driveway. They were really shaking those hips to keep the hoops up from touching the ground.

My biggest secret for getting from to-do to ta-da is...

getting up early. I should do it more often because I am so productive when the kids are still asleep! Alas, the snooze button is often too tempting.

What always puts a smile on your face?

Morning snuggle time. My kids are such snugglers in the mornings... my son always comes into my bed first thing in the morning. Then I go wake up his sisters and they each need Mommy hugs to get them going.
