Four things we love? Fun, fitness, health, and happiness. As a wise mama, you know they all come together.

Lace up your shoes and head to Piedmont Park to run or walk in the Strollers in the Front 5K Atlanta! If you've ever run a race with your kids, you've heard it before: "Strollers in the back!" No more, Mom. This is the first 5k designed from a family's perspective, where parents with strollers lead the pack!

Registration includes a t-shirt, goody bag, and admission to the post-race festival where you can enjoy a ton of kid-friendly activities. You can also register your little ones for their very own Kids Dash race!

Get ready for some serious family fun, and feel good knowing that a portion of proceeds goes to the Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research, which empowers volunteers across the country to raise awareness and funds to find better treatments with fewer long-term side effects - and ultimately, cures.

Unlike other 5K races - which relegate parents with strollers to the back of the pack and separate moms and dads - the Strollers in the Front 5K is a race that celebrates kids in strollers and the parents that are pushing them along. It’s the first 5K designed from a family's perspective, where you can enjoy conveniences like family-sized portapotties, nursing stations, changing stations, as well as fun activities for kids, including a Kids Dash complete with their own bibs and t-shirts, and, of course - if you couldn't tell it from the name - strollers in the front on the route.

The Nitty Gritty:

  • Limit 2 per person
  • Voucher must be used in 1 transaction
  • Event is for family members of all ages, even stroller-aged children (though strollers are not required to participate!)
  • Each runner/walker must pay the registration fee and children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (limit of 4 children per supervising adult)
  • Pre-registration is required and can be completed at Piedmont Park, December 8th from 7-8:30am
  • Race starts at 8:30am Saturday, December 8th at Piedmont Park
  • Event location: 10th St. at Charles Allen Drive entrance, inside Piedmont Park
  • Runner's fee includes timing chip
  • Registration includes a t-shirt, a goody bag, and admission to the post-event festival
