Nancy is truly a one of a kind artist. Her work is built largely by found or salvaged items, many of which were collected locally. The belt buckles and charms alike are referred to as wearable shrines to the soul by the Sweet Bird designer and by the proud owners of these one of a kind treasures. The pieces are designed from a Southwest and Folk Art inspiration, combined with some playful and whimsical wit from the Artist. Sweet Bird Studio owner Nancy is a long time friend and supporter of "There With Care" (www.therewithcare.org). An organization headquartered in Boulder and with offices also in San Francisco, "There With Care" Executive Director and Founder Paula DuPre Pesman has built a foundation which provides daily household assistance to families with children affected by critical illness.
