80's music videos, half of Dancing with the Stars and everyone's uncle; terrible dancers haunt all of us. Sure, enrolling your child in dance camp will get them active, help them meet friends and creatively express themselves. But it also means they won't embarrass themselves at every wedding, prom or club they ever attend by whipping out "the sprinkler" or "party boy" because they don't know how to dance.
This one week day camp uses age-appropriate lessons to teach your child several different types of movement. Young movers will work on the fundamentals in themed camps, while blossoming dancers will get to touch on choreography, history and sample modern, ballet and jazz movement. Children that participate in the camp are able to audition first for the Nutcracker NYC at the Ailey Citigroup Theater this season.
