There's something about taking your kids to the theater. It's magical, full of laughs, and always a great time with the whole fam.
With today's deal, you'll get a membership to the Toy Museum of NY which includes four free admissions to the museum, a gift Teddy Bear, plus two tickets (adult or child) to see either shows playing at their theater. Choose from The History of Toys, 1880s-1980s (3 -10 years old) or Queen Marlene's Birthday Party.
Here's a bit more about each show:
The History of Toys is an original and successful play written about toys. Follow "Queen Marlene" of The Toy Museum as she tells the tale of toys from America's past (then and now) and around the world only to be tricked by "Raggedy", the Museum's largest doll. The show is interactive, educational and entertaining - perfect for ages 3 years old and up. The show is 50 minutes, and it's a great field trip experience as the show covers areas of Social Studies, Language Arts and Performing Arts.
In Queen Marlene’s Birthday Party, the resident Royal Highness celebrates with her coterie of real and pretend friends, and invites audience members along for the ride. The 50-minute show, which encourages audience participation, is perfect for kids 3 and up. (They’ll even play host to your child’s birthday party.) After the show, everyone breaks character to share in cake and talk about the play, toys, and other topics important to the small set.
How fun for the kids do both those shows sound?! Don't miss out on four admissions to the Toy Museum of NY plus your two theater tickets!
The Toy Museum in Brooklyn Heights was founded in 1999 by toy-and-doll enthusiast (and mom) Marlene Hochman. The mini-institution’s goal is simple: to demonstrate the historic and cultural importance of playthings from different eras. Along with displays of antique porcelain dolls and mid-century favorites like the Easy-Bake Oven, Mr. Potato Head and Raggedy Ann. The museum houses exhibits, chess and art classes, Birthday parties and a theater program that breathes life into the lessons. Queen Marlene’s Toy Theater, established in 2010, presents original, interactive plays about—what else?—toys.
