Chicago native Stacy Costopoulos Smith has been driven to create art since childhood, when her favorite media were beads and words. As an adult her study of pottery and interest in polymer clay progressed into a passion for metalsmithing. She became captivated by the unique properties of Precious Metal Clay (PMC) and nurtured an interest in soldering metals. Stacy is now a certified artisan and instructor in the Precious Metals Clay Guild and is intensely interested in creating unique fine- and sterling silver–jewelry that's both aesthetically pleasing and meaningful to the wearer.
