Chinglish is a new comedy by Tony Award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang, will get its world premiere at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago. From the award-winning author of M. Butterfly, Chinglish is an uproarious new comedy about the challenges of doing business in a culture whose language—and ways of communicating—are worlds apart from our own.
Nurture is a local, grass roots non-profit organization (Chicago suburban North Shore) that was founded in 2008 to address issues including hunger, childhood obesity, wellness and an increasingly unhealthy food chain. They focus on low-income families with children at high risk for nutritional and health problems. Nurture is uniquely focused on the parent/child relationship, with the understanding that kids are key influencers in choosing foods, and the caregiver is the gatekeeper to foods and habits in the home. As a 100% volunteer managed organization, Nurture is fueled by passion and energy to help others. This organization remains engaged in helping the local community in a hands-on way.
