Lace up your shoes and head to Montrose Harbor to run or walk in the Strollers in the Front 5K Chicago! If you've ever run a race with your kids, you've heard it before: "Strollers in the back!" No more, Mom. This is the first 5k designed from a family's perspective, where parents with strollers lead the pack!
Registration includes a t-shirt, goody bag, and admission to the post-event festival where you can enjoy Halloween portraits (come in costume!), a bounce house, face painting, arts and crafts, music, and stroller derby. You can also register your little ones for their very own Kids Dash race!
Get ready for some serious fall fun, and feel good knowing that a portion of proceeds goes to Neighborhood Parents Network (NPN), which connects a diverse community of families with the resources they need to navigate parenting in the city.

Unlike other 5K races - which relegate parents with strollers to the back of the pack and separate moms and dads - the Strollers in the Front 5K is a race that celebrates kids in strollers and the parents that are pushing them along. It’s the first 5K designed from a family's perspective, where you can enjoy conveniences like family-sized portapotties, nursing stations, changing stations, as well as fun activities for kids, including a Kids Dash complete with their own bibs and t-shirts, and, of course - if you couldn't tell it from the name - strollers in the front on the route.
