Ride ‘em, cowboy! If your kid’s are enthused by old Western flicks and are amused by rodeos, farms or any horse that you might pass by, 12 Mile Stables might be their calling.

An ideal way to close out the summer, 12 Mile Stables is offering a weeklong, full-day camp at the stables for children ages 8-16. The summer camp is a great way to get any child acclimated to the farm, where experienced riders teach campers to groom and saddle, and care for their horse. The weeklong camp is full of adventure, much like they’ve always imagined, where long trail and arena rides conclude their camp sessions as they improve skills.

For those a little more timid, test out going horseback with a 2-hour lesson at 12 Mile Stables. This offer is available for kids of all ages and will quickly get you up on the saddle for a quick jaunt through the grounds. If you’re new or just want a refresher, this 2-hour session is a great way to get into the saddle.
