The whole family is probably ready for a break from playing Marco Polo in the pool. Mix up your summer fun with a day at the fields instead.
An afternoon at the San Diego Polo Club is a favorite local tradition! Sunday Polo is a fun event for the whole family. Kids will jump with joy in a bouncy house, get imaginative with face painting and gobble up frozen treats, while the adults kick back close by to watch the exciting game. With beautiful scenery, it's the perfect place to take out of town guests. It's especially fun for those days that you feel like getting a little gussied up, but don't worry, there's no required dress code. Whatever you wear, get ready for a family day of cheer and stomping divits when you get this offer for two adult and two child general admission tickets!
California’s first Polo match was held on Coronado Island in 1906. Willis Allen and Harry Collins brought Polo to Rancho Santa Fe in 1982. Their vision of polo ponies galloping across acres of green grass had been finally realized. The club gates were opened in August 1986 and the public was welcomed to enjoy watching this exhilarating sport. Like the Collin’s Family whose polo affair is deep-rooted, many of the members who started with the club 20 years ago, remain active. Sunday Polo is a fun event for the whole family. With the Children's Area, kids will love the jump toy, face painting and frozen treats, while the parents sit close by and can keep an eye on the game, too. The San Diego Polo Club hosts matches open to the public from June until October. Gates Open 12:30 p.m. First Match 1:00 p.m. Intermission Exhibition 2:30 p.m. Feature Match 3:00 p.m. Champagne Divot Stomp 3:45 p.m. Trophy Presentation to follow Music & After-Party until 7 p.m.
