Designer Hannah Westwood is a native Oregonian with a love for art and creating. After 4 years of selling pharmaceuticals Hannah knew that it wasn’t the career for her. She started taking apparel design classes, with an emphasis on maternity wear, at the Portland Art Institute. While studying she discovered a hidden talent in making custom jewelry for friends and family. She was soon noticed by local Portland boutiques, and after four years in the business she became pregnant with her daughter. The year before, she'd thought of the idea for a due-date necklace while her friend was pregnant, and began hearing the never-ending question, “When are you due?” through her own pregnancy. She launched Go Belly Go necklaces shortly after the birth of her daughter in 2008, allowing women to show off their blooming bellies and announce their due date in style.
