Beauty and Fashion
Yoga clothes are functional and they look good on your yoga-toned bod, but it's not every day you find yoga gear that's functional, durable, fashionable ... and matches your eco-conscious lifestyle. You just did, though.
Foat Design builds (and we mean builds — each item is custom-designed, hand-cut, and hand-sewn) yoga clothes, couture items, and accessories that keep you comfortable in the studio and sexy on the street. Their clothes are made without sweatshop labor, located in Minneapolis, with materials selected for their fashion and limited impact on the Earth.
Namast ... hey! Nice clothes, girl!
Foat Design is a small, independent business, created and run by twin sisters Kaja and Zoë Foat. They're faithful students of yoga and are trained Jivamukti yoga instructors, and they also have working backgrounds in art and fashion. Their two, complementary lines — Foat Couture and Urban Yoga Wear — grew out of clothing they created for themselves while pursuing yoga training in New York. They opened the Foat Design Studio in Minneapolis in 2001, and the business has been growing steadily ever since.
