What's that silly roar? Why, it's Darwin the Dinosaur! This wonderful blend of puppetry, technology, and dance at Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts tells the uplifting tale of a wild dinosaur who discovers the true meaning of friendship and love.
Creators Ian Carney and Corbin Popp have used a revolutionary technique to create glow-in-the-dark wire characters that are controlled like puppets but look like bright traces of light. The effect against the darkened theater is simply magical. Your kids will be enthralled - and so will you. Don't miss the fun an hour before each show, with games, activities and face painting for all!
This offer gives you two tickets to the April 22 production of Darwin the Dinosaur at Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts, for $13. Choose from 1pm or 3pm show times. This show is recommended for kids ages 7 and up.
Opened in 1955, Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts is the largest college-based presenting program in New England. Each year, Jorgensen presents 25-30 nationally and internationally acclaimed artists and ensembles, ranging from classical music to world music and dance, classical and contemporary dance, comedy, family programming, and contemporary entertainment.
