Baby and Kids
Celebrate spring with Plum District! With this offer you'll get addmisson to the first-ever Plum District Kansas City event on April 29th at beautiful Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead.
The festivities will start with a good old-fashioned cookout from 12-2pm. Kiddos will love visiting this adorable farmstead with its classic big red barn with nearly 200 animals, vegetable and flower gardens, a one-room country schoolhouse, fishing pond, pony rides and more! Feed the goats, take a hayride, or just spend a lazy day fishing.
As a way of introducing ourselves to the neighborhood we'll be offering giveaways, Plum District goody bags, and more. Kids will laugh at our hilarious clown, pick a pretty design at our face-painting booth, and make friends, as they get creative in the arts and crafts tent. Enjoy a day of fun with your family, brought to you by Plum District!
As an added bonus, 10% of the revenue from this offer goes to the Friends of the Farmstead.
The Friends of the Farmstead (FOF) was established in 1996 as the not-for-profit group which would help raise funds for future projects and programs at Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead. FOF operates as part of the Arts and Recreation Foundation of Overland Park, Kansas. Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead was established in 1978 to depict a turn of the century farm. Remembering that the family farm is slowly disappearing from the prairies of Kansas and America, there is a place where children and adults are able to experience how life used to be on a Kansas family farm. That place is Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead. Children can visit a barn, a bank, school house, Indian encampment, authentic general store and ice cream Parlor!
