Activities
You don’t have to be a kid to love the miracle of flight. Now that Santa Monica’s Museum of Flying is open, take the whole family to a park that is dedicated to one of man’s greatest inventions.
From a replica of the Wright Brothers very first plane to today’s modern behemoth Fed Ex planes, the Museum of Flying will take your imagination to new heights. Learn a little history, play pilot at the helm of a monstrous Fed Ex airplane, feel the wind from some airplanes as they take off, and sit up as the Santa Monica Airport plays backdrop to great festivities. The young and young at heart will take wings with this museum, a perfect Saturday for the family of four!
The Museum of Flying is dedicated to preserving and presenting the rich history of the growth and development of aviation and aerospace in Southern California. Special emphasis is placed on the history of the Douglas Aircraft Company and the Santa Monica Airport.
