Marvel Studios presents Marvel’s The Avengers—the super hero team of a lifetime featuring iconic Marvel super heroes Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye, and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges to threaten global safety and security, Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Marvel’s The Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, and Tom Hiddleston, with Stellan Skarsgård and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, and is directed by Joss Whedon.

This comic book features a newly colored replica of the very first AVENGERS comic book drawn by one of the biggest names in the business, artist John Romita Jr. The story is actually the back-story to how Earth’s Mightiest Heroes – THE AVENGERS came together for the very first time. The El Capitan Theatre will also offer guests a peek into the exclusive Stan Lee Exhibit, legendary writer of Marvel Comics. This personal collection includes rare comic books, including Tales of Astonish—the very first appearance of Iron Man, original helmets of Thor and Loki from the film production of Thor, a statue of the Iron Man suit from Iron Man 2, mini busts of Marvel characters from Bowen Designs, and an array of action figures that Stan Lee has acquired throughout his storied career. And when seeing the film at the El Capitan, guests will also have the chance to pose with Tony Stark! The Madame Tussauds wax figure of the character portrayed by Robert Downey Jr. in the film will be ready for his close-up when the movie opens.
