Activities
Is your little conductor obsessed with all things Thomas the Tank Engine? Do they love anything with wheels? Then today's deal is one you don't want to miss out on: one adult and one child admission to the Minnesota Transportation Museum's new Wednesday morning event.
Come to the museum from 10am-12pm every other Wednesday for Kids and Parents Wednesday (free parking at the Roundhouse). Enjoy story time, an open play area with train tables, rotating arts and crafts schedule, new display additions to the children’s area, and coffee and treats for moms and dads. Meet likeminded kiddos who love trains just as much as your little whistleblower. It's a great way to spend a morning together.
The historic Jackson Street Roundhouse provides a unique, hands-on opportunity for kids of all ages to experience the sights and sounds of railroading. Children can explore all things trains from Thomas the Tank Engine play tables to a real locomotive and cabooses. Experience a genuine operating roundhouse turntable, one of the last of its kind in the country. You’ll enjoy watching your little engineer’s eyes light up when they see trains in every direction. Discover our historic railway operating equipment, including vintage steam engines and much more!
