On Saturday, October 16, we invite you to attend the 2010-11 Season Sampler concert, featuring musical highlights and commentary about the new 2010-11 season. The Season Sampler offers a wonderful evening of diverse music, including selections from our Pops, Inside the Classics, Jazz, Presentations, Holiday and Classical programming.
Or choose to attend on Saturday, November 27 for our Inside the Classics preview concert featuring Copland's Appalachian Spring. This special preview concert features a reprise of one of the most popular Inside the Classics concerts the Minnesota Orchestra has ever performed!
The Minnesota Orchestra, now in its second century and led by Music Director Osmo Vänskä, ranks among America’s top symphonic ensembles, with a distinguished history of acclaimed performances in its home state and around the world; award-winning recordings, radio broadcasts and educational outreach programs; and a visionary commitment to building the orchestral repertoire of tomorrow. The 98-member ensemble now presents nearly 200 programs each year, primarily at its home venue of Orchestra Hall in downtown Minneapolis, and its concerts are heard by live audiences of 400,000 annually.
