Health and Fitness
Whether you're ready to get back toward your pre–mom days fitness level, take on the challenge of your first 5k, or improve your running time, it helps to have a partner and a plan. Moms on the Run gives you both.
Our certified trainers are moms themselves, so they can identify with your fitness journey. Whether you want to be able to tackle your first 5k run, improve on your existing time, or keep up your walking routine, her six-week program will help you meet your goals. It consists of twice-per-week running, along with a strength-and-toning bootcamp, performed outdoors in locations around the metro area. Don't worry if you're a first-timer: beginners will start slowly and gradually add more running into the routine.
Getting into shape doesn't have to be about crazy goals that will frustrate you into giving up. By giving you gradual training and a supportive environment, Moms on the Run will help you get where you're going.
Fitness Coach Karissa Johnson is a fellow mom joining you on the journey of getting back into shape. After having three babies in four years, she knows the challenges! A B.S. holder in Exercise Science and holder of multiple fitness certifications, she started Moms on the Run in 2008 in Forest Lake. It has raised almost $4000 for charity and helped hundreds of local women go from walking to running their first-ever 5k. Read what her satisfied moms have to say about her program here.
