You love taking your kids to the playground. They get to run around, meet other children, go nuts, and burn off some of that non-stop energy. But what if you also got to lounge around, meet other adults, and drink a smoothly brewed Turkish coffee?
Sovereign Grounds is Minneapolis' first kid-friendly coffee shop; a place where you can stop for a pick-me-up while your kids get to play around. But Sovereign Grounds is more than just your average cup of joe; founded and operated by Hakan Sezer, a 17-year veteran roaster and coffee shop owner, Sovereign Grounds is a roaster, retailer, and purveyor of super-smooth coffee roasted in small batches.
So stop in for a light breakfast, a caffeinated afternoon play-date, or just for a perfectly brewed cup of coffee. Your kids will love you for it!
Sovereign Grounds is a friendly neighborhood playground and coffeehouse located just off the corner of 48th and Chicago in South Minneapolis. Founded and operated by Hakan Sezer, who is a 17-year veteran roaster and coffee shop owner. Here, the coffee comes from hand-picked beans roasted daily on site, and bakery items are home-made. It's a place to relax, meet people, talk, have a great cup of coffee and maybe pick up some fresh beans to take home. There are comfortable spots for adults and a big playroom for the kids. Kids of all ages are not just tolerated here. They are welcome!
