Listening to music isn't just fun for kids - it's enriching and educational, too. Exposure to melodies and rhythms is vital for cognitive development. The baby and toddler programs at the Bloomingdale School of Music are designed to help young children develop listening and movement skills, as well as an appreciation for the arts.

With today's offer, you can choose from several exciting weekly classes at BSM. Spring Session runs February 23rd through June 17th, 2013, and classes are available for ages 0-6 years old.

• Baby & Toddler's First Music Class (3-17 Months) Lullabies, laughter, and listening are the focus of this 45-minute class. Parent or caretaker attendance required. 
• Music & Movement (Ages 18 Months - 3 Years) Kids will sing, wiggle, giggle, and play percussion instruments. Class helps develop muscle coordination and prepares young ears for later music studies.
• Musical Adventures (Age 3 Years) Kids let their creative potential through song, creative movement, listening, and percussion play.
• Dalcroze (Age 2-6 Years; classes divided by age) Dalcroze Eurhythmics is the study of music basics like rhythm, pitch, and meter. Kids will learn these fundamental elements of music through songs, stories, games, art, and improvisation. Dalcroze is also an intro to ensemble playing, music reading, composition, and conducting, providing a solid ground for further music studies.
