The Magic Shoe 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, May 21, 2011. The race promises to be fun, with a fast and flat course, Kids' Run, Corporate Challenge, and more!
The Magic Shoe 5K Run/Walk raises money to provide shoes for area underprivileged youth through the efforts of the Magic Shoe Foundation. Last year alone, the Magic Shoe Foundation provided 9,000 pairs of shoes to the community. Join them again this year as they race to raise money for this worthy cause.
Also, please bring your lightly worn athletic shoes on race day so they can redistribute them to the community!

6:30 am: Day-of Registration and Packet Pick-Up
8:00 am: 5K Run/Walk Start
9:00 am: Kids' One-Mile Run
8:00 am - 11:00 am: Health Expo & Shoe Drive

The Magic Shoe Foundation is a Newport Beach, CA non-profit organization that exists to provide shoes for various underprivileged high schools, elementary schools, Boys & Girls Clubs, and other local organizations. “Coach” Bill Sumner started the Magic Shoe Foundation in 1981. The purpose of this foundation is to collect lightly worn running shoes then clean, refurbish and distribute them to needy kids and adults in the local area so they can start or continue their running careers. The foundation has since been renamed the Cynthia Holcomb Magic Shoe Foundation — in memory of Cynthia Holcomb, a driving force behind Magic Shoe and dedicated volunteer.
