You know your little one is a regular Picasso. You want to give them the chance to branch out and try more mediums of art. The Artcadian in Oceanside will make that happen with their art classes.
Your little artist will journey through the masters during their summer arts program. They will be learning and producing masterpieces following the greatest artists of the 18th and 19th century — using every form of media from markers to clay! Each class begins with a drawing exercise based on what the children can pull from their imagination.
Or they can challenge themselves in their self-portrait class. Students will get a crash course on the three stages of their very own self-portrait including breaking down proportion and depth of themselves. They will learn something fun and new about their own unique features.
The Masters Class is Wednesdays from 4-5 p.m for six weeks beginning July 11. Ages 5-8.
The self-portrait class is three days: July 23, 24,and 25. Ages 5-8, 4-5:30 p.m. and ages 9-up, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

After several years of teaching after school programs and bringing the joy of art to charter schools and home schoolers, owner Frank Lopez runs his own art studio in the heart of Oceanside. Frank (a child at heart) has fun and interesting ways of implementing his lessons to children/teens — allowing the kids to be imaginative in how they express his exciting projects. The Artcadian is a great place for the budding artist!
