"Drop in. Have fun. Eat well." That's the motto at Wahoo's Fish Taco, and we love it. We also love their famous Baja-style fish tacos...yum!
Enjoy other items like the Wahoo Salad that is mixed with cheese, guacamole, salsa and your choice of fish, chicken, carne asada, shrimp, carnitas, or vegetarian-style. Or indulge in a Banzai Burrito that comes filled with ahi rice, black beans, banzai veggies, fresh salsa, and your choice of meat or fish.
Leave Wahoo’s feeling like you just got back from an island vacation … their delicious ethnic fair will make you want more.
The Wahoo's story begins in 1988, when the three Wahoo's brothers, Wing, Ed and Mingo, combined their love of surf and food to create a restaurant with an eclectic Mexican/Brazilian/Asian menu and a Hawaiian north-shore vibe. Growing up in San Paolo, Brazil, they actually spent their early years above their parents' Chinese restaurant. In 1975, the family moved to Orange County, where their dad opened the famous Shanghai Pine Garden Chinese restaurant on Balboa Island. The brothers grew up both in the restaurant and on the beaches. Addicted to surfing, they would travel south to Mexico and were introduced to fish tacos. Years of surfing trips to Mexico created a craving for the specialty of charbroiled fish, salsa, and tortillas.
