Activities
Does your little guy have an uncanny sense of humor? Does your daughter act as if every moment is taking place in a spotlight? Encourage their self-confidence and flair for drama by enrolling them in the Young Performers class at Bay Area Children's Theatre.
This series of classes meets every Saturday Feb. 4 – May 5, 10:30 am - 12:00 pm (No class Feb. 18, April 7). Your 7 to 11-year-old will participate in the retelling of Disney's Sleeping Beauty as Fairy Godmothers Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather use their fairy magic to save Aurora from the spell of evil sorceress Maleficent! They'll sing songs from the film and fun new songs while also learning performance techniques for acting, singing, and dancing. Give your show-stopper the opportunity to build stage presence, make friends, hone their natural talents, and just plain have fun. Action!
Bay Area Children's Theatre (BACT) was founded in 2004 as an Active Arts Theatre for Young Audiences to bring high-quality theatre to family audiences in the Bay Area. At BACT, the specialty is literary adaptations of great children’s books. BACT seeks to engage a new generation of theater-goers and inspire young people to open their imaginations to new worlds.
