It's a big and fascinating world out there—especially in California, with our variety of landscapes, environments, plants, and animals. Coyote Point Museum gives you and your child an up-close-and-personal look at it.
The museum has a variety of hands-on exhibits that lets kids touch, swirl, twist, crank, and more while learning about the science behind the fog, waves, and other phenomena that they see every day. Coyote Point Museum also has over 100 live animals (most of which are native to California, like our friend above), some of which are available daily for public viewing. The museum, which is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, takes them in from rehabilitation facilities because they could not survive in the wild.
The museum was awarded a Nickelodeon Parent's Pick Award for best museum in the SF area and was voted Best Museum on the Peninsula by Bay Area Parent readers. Over 90,000 kids and families visit Coyote Point each year. Find out why!
Coyote Point Museum brings children and families up close with the natural world. Their mission is to educate and inspire people to take care of the earth wisely. They offer the tools to question and explore our world: interactive science exhibits, hands-on and explorative school and public programs, and up-close encounters with native California animals.
