Rene is an outstanding Baker and owner of Blackberry Soul Baking Co. She has received an abundance of recognition for her culinary flair. She is the winner of the 2004 “Taste Of the Bay” Award, a requested favorite for the “100 Chefs Can Cook” United Negro College Fundraiser, and has participated in various community events including many if the local Jazz Festivals. Rene is especially known for her famous Sweet Potato Pies, Homemade Peach Cobbler, Black Berry Cobbler, Homemade Pound Cake, Oatmeal Cookies and many other of her personal and family recipes. All of her recipes are homemade with an authentic southern style.
