San Jose Stage Company is recognized as The Bay Area’s Premiere Off-Broadway Theatre and is in its 28th season. The Stage presents award-winning, innovative, and contemporary programming, showcasing the region’s best new and established artists in a unique off-Broadway–style venue.
The Stage produces, at a minimum, a five-play subscription series, inclusive of over 120 performances and 10 scheduled talkbacks. The Stage is the South Bay’s only professional mid-sized theatre organization and was the first group in San Jose to secure and manage its own theatre facility, opening its 200-seat, three-quarter thrust venue in 1990. Over 25,000 patrons are served annually.
