Baby and Kids
Let's go ride a bike! Learning to pedal and balance a bicycle is a rite of passage for any active kid. But the bike basics can be just as tricky for parents as they are for their beginner bikers. The 45-minute "Learn to Ride" class offered by City Bike Coach is the perfect complement to your one-on-one teaching efforts, Mom. Kids will begin learning how to properly balance on a seat, then how to start, stop, and steer a bike. They'll also learn about bike safety, so you can feel good about letting the training wheels come off!
Classes are taught in a small group, so kids can be inspired by their classmates but also get lots of attention from the instructor!
City Bike Coach was founded informally in 2009 when Coach Lee, a League of American Bicyclists-certified bicycle instructor (LCI), was asked to give a private riding lesson. She was encouraged by the folks at the League of American Bicyclists (Bike League or LAB) and Bike New York to open the doors officially in 2010. Since then, riders from all walks of life have registered for bicycle education with CBC at all levels. Learning and riding with CBC is one of the best investments youll ever make because our content is equal to no other riding school. Not only are all CBC coaches fun, but they are LCIs. Some are working toward their USA Cycling coaching certification, too. Furthermore, CBC coaches have extensive riding and teaching experience from around the globe! Moreover, the course content taught at CBC is comprised of the Bike Leagues outstanding curricula and information gained through years of real experience on the road.
