For kids ages 4-6 years, choose the Totbots – LEGO WeDo Robotics theme, where children build a robot together, see their robot come to life via an animated video, program it with computer software, and then show it off to their parents.
For kids 7-14 years, choose Basic Robotics – LEGO Mindstroms NXT 2.0 Robotics. In Basic Robotics, children use laptops to program robots that will respond to light, touch and sound sensors. Another theme for this age group is Robo Wars – Hunger Games Edition – Intermediate LEGO Mindstorms NXT 2.0 Robotics, which puts a strong emphasis on creating battle-ready robots, shooting targets and competing for prizes.
