If your kids are like ours, then they love animals. Seeing and touching them - especially the unusual ones - is simply thrilling.
Excite your children with today's offer from Green Meadows Petting Farm, where they'll meet sheep, goats, llamas, horses, cows, a wallaby, a kangaroo, zebras, baby chicks, and more! There are over 200 animals to interact with. You and your kiddos can watch pig races, milk a cow, enjoy a hayride, feed the sheep, or just walk around to play with your furry friends. Pack a tasty picnic lunch and spend a day making family memories at Green Meadows Petting Farm.
Green Meadows Farm was started in 1964 in Waterford, Wisconsin by Bob and Coni Keyes. Together with their thirteen children, the Keyes family operates farms all over the country and are proud to say that over 500,000 visitors pass through the gates of Green Meadows Farm each year. In fall 1991, they opened another petting farm in Jessup, Maryland that services the Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, DC area³. Green Meadows Cultural Events, Inc. was established in 1996 by Ken and Gail Keyes. In 2002, they were fortunate enough to locate a beautiful 125 acre farm in Ijamsville, Maryland (just south of Frederick) that currently operates as “home base” to their many business ventures. The petting farm in Ijamsville offers an ideal learning environment where people of all ages can interact with farm animals. They have llamas, horses, cattle, poultry, sheep, goats and pigs. They also offer birthday party packages at the farm as well as bring animals to events, such as parties, camps, fairs, picnics and festivals.
