We seek out notable local businesses to feature on our site and offer a different fantastic deal every day to make your life easier and more enjoyable!

When you subscribe to the daily email, you enter your email address. We don't require a password and other personal information until you create an account with us (typically this occurs when you purchase your first deal). If you'd like to create an account, click on "Create an Account" in the upper-right corner of the site and complete the form. Your information will be saved for quick and easy checkout.

Making a Plum District Purchase


We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.


Absolutely. We take the security of your personal information very seriously and utilize 256-bit SSL encryption (fancy talk for “really secure software”) to ensure that your credit card information is secure.


Simply click the “Buy” button found in the upper right-hand corner of the day’s deal. You will then be prompted to enter your billing information and a valid credit card number. Once you click “Submit” your credit card will be charged.


Immediately after purchasing your Plum Deal, you will receive a confirmation email with a ticket number. This is your voucher. Each voucher contains detailed redemption instructions. In most cases, you’ll simply have to print this voucher and bring it with you to the business. If you are redeeming your voucher online, just use your voucher code following the redemption instructions. You can also find your vouchers in the “Purchased Offers” section of your user account.


Every voucher will have an activation date printed on it. Typically, you can use your voucher as soon as the deal closes. For most deals redeemed online, you can use your Plum Deal immediately.


The expiration date is stated on your voucher. It is also stated on the Plum Deal page in the “Nitty Gritty” section. After the expiration date, you can still redeem your voucher at the price you paid for the length of time stated by gift certificate laws in your state.


Unfortunately, no. Unless otherwise stated in the “Nitty Gritty” section, there is no store credit or cash back.


Unless otherwise noted, your Plum District voucher is completely transferable. You can either print them or send them in an email. For friends and family to use your ticket, provide them with the ticket number (or forward the email to them) and make sure they tell the merchant your name.


Unfortunately, no. Each Plum Deal is posted for a limited amount of time. Depending on how popular the Plum Deal is, we may post a similar one at a future date. We don’t offer rain checks, and we can’t guarantee you’ll have another opportunity for an expired Plum Deal.


Although the majority of our deals are available at unlimited quantities, there may be some that sell out. In that event, the offer is no longer valid and you cannot make a purchase. This is especially true of our Plum Steals, so be sure to purchase them while you can!


How thoughtful of you! You can certainly give a Plum District deal as a gift, in two ways:

1) Print it: For deals with transferable vouchers (all deals unless otherwise noted in the Fine Print), purchase as usual and print a physical, paper voucher to give in person - so you can see the smile on the recipient's face when they get it! With this option your name will appear in the recipient field.

2) Email it: For instant gift-giving gratification, check the "Give as a Gift" box at checkout and enter the gift recipient's name and email address along with a personalized message. Check Your recipient will get an email from Plum District with your message and a link to view their voucher on plumdistrict.com, where they can choose to print the voucher. This voucher features the message "A gift for you from (your first name),"� along with the recipient's name in the recipient field.


Gift vouchers contain the same information as a voucher you'd buy for yourself: the title of the deal, voucher value and price, redemption location(s), redemption instructions, expiration date, and any fine print items. They also sport a reminder of who sent the gift (this way they'll remember to return the favor!)


We must show both the value of a voucher and the price paid, because even after the promotional value of a voucher expires it retains the value of the price you paid for it, and your recipient can redeem it for that amount after its expiration date. (Plus this way your gift recipient can admire your awesomely smart shopping prowess!)

About Plum Dollars and Promotional Codes


Plum Dollars are our way of saying “Thank you!” for being a part of the District. They are credits that can be used toward your Plum Deal purchases. Plum Dollars can only be used for Plum Deal purchases and are not redeemable for cash.
Please note that Plum Dollars cannot be used toward Plum Steal purchases.


The easiest way to earn Plum Dollars is to refer Plum Deals to your friends through the Refer a Friend program. When your friends purchase their first Plum Deal, you will receive $5 Plum Dollars to use toward your next Plum Deal purchase. We’ll track all of your referrals and store your Plum Dollars in your account.*


We will keep track of your Plum Dollars in your Plum District account. Whenever you purchase a Plum Deal, you have the option to apply your Plum Dollars to your purchase. Just check the Plum Dollar box during checkout and indicate how many Plum Dollars you would like to use! Plum Dollars expire after 6 months of account inactivity.

Promotional codes are valid for a one time use, and cannot be used on Plum Steals. You may not stack Promotional Codes. You may not use more than one Promotional Code in one transaction. Promotion codes cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts. Please note, no price adjustments are allowed on previous purchases made without this discount. You may not receive refunds for used promotional codes in the event of a refund. You may not receive credit for used promotional codes in the event of a refund.

What is the difference between a Plum Deal and a Plum Steal?
Plum Deals are the amazing offers we feature every day from local merchants. Plum Steals are our occasional “Oh no they didn’t!” discounts on your favorite major brands and well-established companies. Also, unlike Plum Deals, you cannot use or earn Plum Dollars on a Plum Steal.


Why can’t I use Plum Dollars when purchasing a Plum Steal?
We promise you won’t find savings like these anywhere else, and because Plum Steals are already such exclusive offers we are not able to provide them at a further discount.


Why can’t I earn Plum Dollars for referring a Plum Steal?
We feel that our Plum Steals are such amazing offers that we want to give our pre-existing subscribers first dibs. It’s our way of saying “Thank you for already being a subscriber.” We still want to thank you for spreading the word, so when you do refer a Plum Steal to a friend - regardless if they purchase it or not - their first Plum Deal purchase will earn you $5 Plum Dollars.


How can I tell something is a Plum Steal versus a Plum Deal?
We will clearly label our Plum Steals in the Offer title and in the Nitty Gritty for the offer.

About Three for Free

 
Three for Free is a referral program that can enable you to get certain deals for free! You must have three different people purchase the deal through your link, and the deal page must advertise that Three for Free is available. Here's how it works:

  1. After you buy a Plum Deal (not to be confused with a Plum Steal!) that advertises Three for Free, your purchase confirmation page will tell you that you can get the deal for free if you also get 3 friends to buy.
  2. From the Purchase Confirmation page you can share your unique referral link to the deal with your friends via email, facebook, or twitter.
  3. If 3 of your friends click your referral link to purchase the deal, you will earn it for free.

 

Can I earn Plum Dollars through Three For Free?
Unfortunately, no. Users referred with Three for Free will NOT qualify for the purchase incentive, and you will not be able to earn Plum Dollars from your referrals.

Unfortunately, no. Once you buy a deal, it's yours to keep! Our contracts with vendors require us to honor every deal sold, and that's why we're able to offer such good deals to our Plum District members. DoodleDeals is now Plum District -- What Changed?


Yes. You can still redeem all previous purchases from DoodleDeals.


If you bought from DoodleDeals before February 9, 2012, your deals will appear under Plum District's "My Account" section, located on the top right corner of the website.


Your DoodleDeals account is no longer active. However, all of your old account information has been transferred over to your new Plum District account.


Purchased Deals: Shows all of the deals you have purchased (past and present) and their status

Profile: Information specific to you, i.e. name and region

Account Details: Information you provided upon sign up, i.e. email, location, etc.

Subscriptions: The regions in which you are currently subscribed to

Refer My Friends: Share Plum District with your friends. When they purchase their first Plum Deal, you will be awarded $5 Plum Dollars.

Promotion Codes: Enter promotion codes you receive from Plum District here, and they will be applied to future purchases.

Plum Dollars: Formerly known to you as credits -- this is where you can view your current balance.

My Referrals: Keep track of how many invites you have sent to your friends, and how many Plum Dollars you have been rewarded as a result.


That credit is still valid to redeem through Plum District and has been automatically converted to Plum Dollars. You can find the link to Plum Dollars in your "My Account" section.


Yes, your credit card information is 100% protected and was automatically transferred into your new Plum District account.


Plum District does not accept payments through PayPal. You will need a valid credit card to make a purchase.


Yes. Your existing DoodleDeals login information will stay the same on Plum District.

There is an unsubscribe link at the bottom of your Plum District email that will lead you to your "Manage Subscriptions" page. Uncheck the regions in which you wish to unsubscribe.
